The Importance of Video in Business

September 21st, 2016

Have you ever thought about putting up a video on your business page? If so – you are headed in the right direction.
Video is a wonderful way to personalize your business page and showcase something important – your personality. In businesses that provide a service it is especially important to showcase this because it allows people to get to know you and feel comfortable hiring you.  Aside from the customer seeing the video – there are other important reasons you should include video in your marketing strategy. Video is important for SEO rankings and can actually increase your visibility. Research has shown that consumers are more likely to watch a video than read a complete page of text, and it is something that can be easily measured by business owners. For example can see how many views our videos get and if there are comments / shares / likes.  Video can really grab your attention if done right!

Here is a professional video we shot Mission San Gabriel High School:

You may think – where do I start? Depending on the business it might be as simple as uploading a cell phone video to YouTube or Instagram. For example – if you have a fitness related business it might be beneficial to have short videos on your Instagram account that provide daily tips and motivation. If you have a wedding planning business, you could highly benefit from having a business profile type video professionally shot and edited. When Classic Filmworks does these type of videos we really like to showcase the business owners and what they like about their work – what sets them aside from other vendors. We get to know them and then storyboard their video. Types of things we might include would be interview style or voiceover to allow the business owner to speak about his or her business, as well as images of the business owner working.

Even if you start with a short self-made video, you are doing the right thing – increasing your web presence and putting yourself out there!

And since this is where this gorgeous couple met it stands to reason that their wedding would take place in Palm Springs.

Wow! This was one gorgeous wedding! The ceremony took place after sundown and was romantically lit with string lights in the garden at The Estancia in La Jolla. The guests came from all over the world – some from as far away as South Africa. The Hora was one of the craziest that I’ve experienced. The bride and groom were beautiful and sweet people and we wish them much happiness!
